High Performance Change

Death, Taxes, Culture and Change

Two things are as certain for your organisation as death and taxes are for you:

  1. It has a culture – whether you are consciously aware of it or not
  2. Without deliberately working on it, it won’t be the culture you want

And within your culture, two more things are certain:

  1. It has a level of adaptability – whether you are consciously aware of it or not
  2. Without deliberately raising your adaptability intelligence, it won’t reach the level you need to face whatever happens next

Transforming your perception of change from being ‘a threat to your security’ to ‘being your best chance to make a difference’ is a tyre-squealing hand-brake turn of the mind. And it’s not a skill that can be acquired by luck or osmosis. It requires the same deliberate design and investment in your people that you have to make in developing your products and services.

But just imagine what innovative products and services you could develop if you also developed a culture of adaptability - one that encouraged curiosity, courage and speed?

Change is risky, expensive and disruptive, and being adaptable doesn’t guarantee success. But unless you raise your Adaptability Intelligence so your internal environment can keep up with your increasingly unpredictable external environment, failure is as certain as death and taxes.

Rich Alderton from High Performance Change is an Adaptability Intelligence specialist, so if your organisation needs to be more adaptable, why not contact Rich for an initial discussion?
